Small cracks appearing in your cricket bat can cause us to panic. Sand the area down with a sandpaper between 100 and 220. We do recommend the use of a facing and or fibreglass tape or liquid super glue which helps reduce surface cracking and increase the longevity of your fantail bat.

Some bats begin cracking almost immediately while some may not crack for a year or more. Willow is a natural material and as a bat is used more and more it is quite normal for the blade or face to develop slight markings.
